Excellent addition to StarShipSofa episode 210. I went back and listened twice. Looking forward to future soundtrack shows! I agree with T.J., One of my favorite soundtracks was “Forbidden Planet”. Another show idea might be the original soundtrack for “2001” by Composer Alex North.

Thanks TJ, The drive-in sounds cool. I’m a fan of Forbidden Planet, we’ll definitely have that score in an upcoming show.

Loved your Starship Sofa dissection of Inception.

I saw Inception at the West Chicago Cascade Drive-In with an outdoor quality window speaker. The sound was supplemented by my minivan’s stereo (the Drive In broadcasts on FM on the bottom of the band) and the soundtrack was probably even more distorted, booming, and ominous.

Listening to the podcast via headphones with your comments was really awesome. I liked Inception already but you just amped up my appreciation of the film.

BTW – in the requests department I always loved “Forbidden Planet” with the crazy theremin action.
